What is Thin Content?

Thin content refers to content that contains little to no helpful content. It provides little benefit and leaves the audience with more questions than answers. 

Visitors who encounter thin content will often return to the search engine for further information.

While poorly written, shallow content clearly qualifies as thin content, other types of pages like affiliate, doorway, and duplicate pages that do not help users are also considered thin content.
