What is an Entry Page?
An entry page is the first page a visitor views on your website.
This could be any page and is not necessarily the homepage. For example, when a visitor clicks on your URL from an ad, the page they land on becomes their entry page.
When another visitor clicks on your URL from a search engine result page, the page they land on becomes their entry page.
Entry pages are important because they give visitors their first impression of your site. With various analytics tools, you can discover the entry pages through which most of your visitors arrive at your site. You can then proceed to optimize those pages.
