What is No Image Index?

The no image index is a meta tag instructing search engines not to index or display the images of a webpage in search results. It is used in cases where an image is sensitive, irrelevant, or not intended to be publicly displayed.

The no image index is necessary because search engines will, by default, index the images on a webpage and display them in search results. If you don’t want your images in search results, you will need to add the below no image index meta tag to the head HTML element <head> of the webpage.
