BrightLocal’s Local RankFlux shows high fluctuations on Google’s local search results, signs of a possible local ranking update. The fluctuations started on February 24, 2021, and continues on February 25th.
SEO professionals have also reported significant shifts in local search results across various industries. So, it would appear that the changes are not likely site-specific or industry-specific.

If your business has dropped positions in search results, then you’ll need to wait for a while. Since Google has not confirmed any update on the local search ranking, these local ranking changes might be temporary due to a bug in the Google system or any short-term test and might return to normal.
