Search Visibility is a metric for estimating the number of clicks a site receives from its position in organic search results. It is calculated based on all the keywords the site ranks for.
Search visibility is also called search engine visibility or SEO visibility. Different SEO tools calculate it using slightly different methods. Below, we will provide you with one of those methods.
To calculate your search visibility, you:
- Take note of all your keywords and their respective rankings on search results pages
- Assign a click through rate (CTR) to the keywords
- Add the click through rates together
- Divide the click through rate by the number of keywords you’re ranking for
