What is a Long-Tail Keyword?
A long-tail keyword is a focus keyword with three or more words. They are one of the three types of keywords classified based on their length.
Other types of keywords include:
- Short-tail keyword: This is a keyword that consists of one to three words.
- Mid-tail keyword: This is a keyword with exactly three words. It is also called as medium-tail keyword.
Because of their longer length, long-tail keywords have a lower search volume and are easier to rank for.
Long-tail keywords also better indicate the intent of the searcher as they are used by visitors seeking specific answers. For this reason, they have a better conversion rate than other types of keywords.
