Rank Math PRO allows you to automatically fetch data from YouTube videos<\/a> to use in Video Schema and Video Sitemap. The data is fetched using YouTube’s Public API, which works well for most users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, if you notice any discrepancies, such as incorrect titles, descriptions, or no thumbnails, we recommend generating a\u00a0YouTube Data API key<\/strong>\u00a0for more accurate results.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nota:<\/strong> YouTube’s Data API is free but has a daily quota. You can fetch data of up to 100 videos per day, which should be sufficient for most users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps to get an API key for yourself and use it with Rank Math.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1<\/span> Configure Rank Math’s Video Sitemap PRO<\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To use this advanced feature, you must first ensure that Rank Math’s Video Sitemap module is enabled from WordPress Dashboard \u2192 Rank Math SEO \u2192 Dashboard \u2192 Modules<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, when you head over to Rank Math SEO \u2192 Sitemap Settings \u2192 Video Sitemap<\/strong>, you should see the YouTube API Key<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don’t see this option, switch to <\/a><\/span>Modalit\u00e0 avanzata<\/a> in Rank Math.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2<\/span> Login to Google’s Cloud Console<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Visitare il Google’s Cloud Console<\/a>. If you haven’t already created a project, you will need to create a new one. If you already have a project created, then you can proceed to the next step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To create a new project, click the CREATE PROJECT<\/strong> option that appears on the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3<\/span> Create API Key<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once you’ve created a project, click the Credentials<\/strong> tab in the left menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the Credentials page, click the Create Credentials<\/strong> optio<\/span>n, and from the dropdown, choose Chiave API<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wait for a few moments for the API key to be created. Then, copy the generated API Key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paste it into the YouTube API Key<\/strong> field in the Rank Math Settings, and click the Save Changes<\/strong> button as shown below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4<\/span> Enable the YouTube Data API<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Google, by default, doesn’t enable the YouTube Data API for all the projects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, we still need to head over to the Enabled APIs & services<\/strong> tab in the Cloud console menu and choose ENABLE APIS AND SERVICES<\/strong> option, as shown below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the API Library, search for YouTube Data API v3<\/strong> and select it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, ENABLE<\/strong> the YouTube Data API as shown below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that you’ve enabled the YouTube Data API, you can start using it within Rank Math PRO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
